Bosnia and Herzegovina Mercy Association continues its assistance to earthquake victims in cooperation with IHH

Association President Kenan Vrbanjac met with IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Board of Trustees Member Osman Atalay in Istanbul.

Vrbanjac, in a statement to the AA correspondent, emphasized that they continue to help those affected by the earthquakes in cooperation with IHH, and stated that the project regarding the construction of housing in Syria was also discussed.

Noting that the association has been helping with food distribution in earthquake regions since the first day, Vrbanjac said that the Islamic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina also provided aid worth 100 thousand euros for food distribution.

Atalay also stated that IHH has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since the war in 1992-1995, and explained that they work in partnership with the Mercy Association in the earthquake zone, as well as the EMMAUS International Solidarity Forum and the Solidarity Association from the city of Bihac.

Thanking the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their solidarity and support, Atalay underlined that they will continue to help earthquake victims in cooperation with the Mercy Association.

Atalay said that they will carry out an aid project for those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and said, “We will work to renovate the destroyed houses, mosques and schools. The Syrian people are not alone either.” said.
