A Ukrainian missile was shot down between Kamensk and Donetsk by air defense forces. No one was injured, but the roofs of several buildings received minor damage.
The air defense system worked in Donetsk, Rostov region, no one was injured, but the buildings were damaged, the head of the city administration Roman Kuraev said in a telegram channel.
“After working out the air defense, there is a scattering of small fragments on the territory of the city of Donetsk. There are minor “technical” damage to the roofs of buildings,” he said.
Kuraev assured that the situation is under control.
Donetsk is located in the north-west of the Rostov region, on the Seversky Donets River, it borders on the Krasnodonsky district of the LPR.
The local publication Novosti wrote that explosions were heard in the city around noon. According to the head of the city, air defense worked from Kamensk towards the LPR.
Later, the governor of the region, Vasily Golubev , confirmed that around 12:00, air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian missile between Kamensk and Donetsk. “There are no victims. Shrapnel partially damaged the roof of several buildings. The damage is being specified,” he wrote in the telegram channel.
In May, a drone attacked the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery (refinery) in the Rostov region. As a result of the explosion, a fire broke out, which was extinguished by the staff.
Later that month, air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian missile near Morozovsk, near which the military airfield of the same name is located. According to Golubev, fragments of the downed rocket fell into the field, there were no casualties or damage.
