President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Poland Andrzej Duda met unexpectedly in the city of Lutsk. They visited the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul.
“Zelensky and Duda visited the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Lutsk,” the Ukrainian edition of Suspilne reports. They added that the visit of the heads of the two countries was not announced in advance, but events were held in honor of the memory of the victims of World War II and the Volyn tragedy. The event was attended by Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius and the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav.
Earlier, Andrzej Duda had already come to Kyiv without prior announcement, where he met with Zelensky. During the meeting , issues related to the Zaporozhye NPP and preparations for the NATO summit were discussed. It is noted that the President of Ukraine promised Poland to give part of the territory in exchange for help during the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National News Service reports .
