On the Zaporizhzhya front, the phase of the war is now going on to exhaust the Russian army.
This was stated by the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Artie Green.
“This is not a dead end, but an intense phase of fighting. There is already the second replenishment in my direction – the enemy has brought into battle in the area that I can clearly see, reserves that are larger than the original composition. When we crush these, there will be nothing to plug,” the officer said.
He allots another two or three weeks for “softening” the front line of the Russian defense. During this period, in his opinion, all Russian reserves will be “ground”.
The same thesis about “grinding” the enemy’s forces, counting on their complete depletion as a strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the offensive, was previously expressed in one form or another by other Ukrainian speakers .
At the same time, the effectiveness of this strategy directly depends on how many reserves Russia actually has. And are they really close to exhaustion. .
According to one estimate, much more than the officially declared 300 thousand people were called up during the autumn mobilization, and therefore Russia still has a lot of reserves. According to other sources, the reserves are not so significant, many units have not been rotated for a long time, and therefore, without a new wave of mobilization, the situation for the Russian army at the front may become problematic.
At the same time, the Russian Federation is now actively adopting laws to ensure conscription into the army. That is, apparently, the option of a new mobilization, if Russian reserves come to depletion, is not ruled out in Moscow.
