NYT: AFU Began to Receive Fewer Donations Due to Society’s Fatigue From the Conflict

One of the Ukrainian soldiers said that Kyiv “had no victories for a long time”

NEW YORK, July 7th. /TASS/. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) began to receive fewer donations as the public grew tired of the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by The New York Times on Friday , citing Ukrainian servicemen.

“I noticed that fundraising on the Internet has ceased to be effective since the beginning of 2023, perhaps [because] the public is tired and we have not had victories for a long time,” Pavel Vyshebaba, one of the Ukrainian military, told the publication.

The newspaper specifies that UAVs, radio equipment, bulletproof vests, vehicles and first aid kits are purchased with money from sponsors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, even large foundations are currently having difficulty raising funds. The head of one of these funds, Oleg Karpenko, believes that the situation was affected by the difficult economic situation in the country. “The economic situation in the country is becoming more difficult, worse than last year,” he said.
