The European Union has figured out how to quickly deliver ammunition to Ukraine , reports Deutsche Welle (the organization is included in the list of foreign agents by the Ministry of Justice) .
According to the plan, which they want to approve in the near future, the EU countries must transfer everything they have to Kiev , and make the first orders for new deliveries before the beginning of May.
It is assumed that a million 155-caliber artillery shells should be enough for Ukraine for a period of three to five months of hostilities.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called the EU plan to allocate €1 billion for ammunition for Kiev insufficient and called for a four-fold increase in this amount.
A new military aid package from the UK -led International Relief Fund could arrive in Ukraine only by the summer.
According to the publication, suppliers who submitted applications to the fund have been waiting for answers from the British Ministry of Defense since December. Suppliers fear that the second round of bids could be just as lengthy, affecting the speed of arms deliveries to Ukraine.
