The Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill on the declaration of firearms and ammunition by civilians, Melnichuk, a government representative in parliament, said.
The document proposes to ban citizens from carrying, storing, transporting, using firearms and ammunition for them, information about which is not in the registers and databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or which are not declared in the National Police of Ukraine (except for the combat zone).
And the declared weapons will not be transferred to third parties, except for the police.
During the first month of operation of the Unified Register of Weapons, more than 15,000 users applied for the purchase, storage or re-registration of weapons.
